This upcoming outdoor season will be Nick Symmonds’ final track season and he looks to make one last U.S. national team.

Yesterday, Symmonds shared a photo expressing excitement over his first pain-free run since addressing a knee injury. This got us scouring the internet for some of the few indoor classics that are available on YouTube.

Enjoy this video of the 2007 U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, which starts with a cameo by coach Frank Gagliano of The Oregon Track Club and now of the New Jersey-New York Track Club.

This is before Symmonds went on to make his first U.S. Olympic team in Beijing and was just starting to emerge as one of the United States’ top middle distance stars. Pour your morning coffee and watch the early signs of the Symmonds kick that would several national titles after this.

Also…this is 10 years ago?!
