Running Documentaries and Videos You Should Watch #9: Breaking2 | Documentary Special

By R.J. McNichols

September 30, 2017

National Geographic decided to stop filming animals for once and decided to take a look at the complex species of long distance runners.

Nat Geo follows runners, Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya, Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia, and Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea attempting to break two hours in the marathon as part of Nike’s BREAKING2 project.

We not only see these marathon all-stars training and living in their natural setting, but we also see the scientists and the people creating the environment to help these athletes pull off the chance of breaking 2 hours for the marathon.

Take a look at an hour-long in-depth look inside the 6 months going into and the day of the race.
