Des runs like a kid whose parents just asked them to share their favorite toy. Des is like ‘Nope. No way. This is mine. You want my toy? You’re going to have to come get it. Rip it out of my hands.’

At the 2018 Rock ‘N’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon, Des Linden demonstrated why she’s the embodiment of grit. Gritty and humble. That’s Des. I can’t wait to see her and every other runner who lines up in New York this weekend demonstrate their grit. Go make it hurt.
