One Quick Thing: Nick Willis Has Been Running Sub-4 For 18 Years

By Scott Olberding

January 26, 2020

Yesterday’s New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston featured another Chris O’Hare vs. Nick Willis duel. O’Hare took the win in 3:59.62 to 3:59.89. In the all-time head-to-head record, they’re not tied over the mile distance on the track at 5–5. Major kudos to Willis for now extending his streak to 18 consecutive years of running under four minutes for the mile. That’s longer than many of our readers and listeners have been alive.
