"I feel validated in my sport. Everybody knows that after college, it is now a job... There are times when you think, 'Am I even good at my job?' This was validating because it let me know that I was punching in the time card for the right things."
Laulauga Tausaga-Collins joins us to catch up on how life has changed since she shocked the world to win gold in the discus at the 2023 World Athletic Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
It was one of the most clutch breakouts of the year since she launched the disc 69.49 meters to beat her previous personal best by nearly four meters. It made history as the United States’ first-ever world championship gold in women’s discus.
