Some of the nation’s best high school runners descended upon Southlake Carroll for the annual Texas Distance Festival. This year’s marquee event was the boy’s 5,000 meters. 2016 Foot Locker Nationals champion Reed Brown and Nebraska’s Seth Hirsch headlined the field of boys. Cooper Teare of St. Joseph Notre Dame made his trip worth it as he took the victory in 14:13.26.

Citius Mag’s Jordan Chavez and Brandon Sotelo were on site to capture some photos from the meet.
