A LOT OF DOUBLING HAPPENING IN ALBUQUERQUE; CHELIMO WINS THE 1500

By Stephen Kersh

February 18, 2018

Turns out if you win the 3,000-meter at this year’s U.S. Indoor Championships, you will win the 1,500-meter, as well. How do I know? Well, I saw it with my own eyes.

Paul Chelimo doubled his medal count at this year’s championship with his win in the 1,500. Ben Blankenship stormed to a second place and Craig Engels claimed third. Engels looked very happy so we assume he knows Chelimo is dropping his World’s spot in the 1,500. This is all gross speculation.

Top 5

Paul Chelimo – 3:42.91

Ben Blankenship – 3:43.09

Craig Engels – 3:43.29

Shadrack Kipchirchir – 3:43.31

Henry Wynne – 3:43.71
