The Wood Report Launches New Website For NCAA Cross Country Rankings, Projections

By Debajo Dos

January 26, 2021

For nearly a decade The Wood Report has provided in-depth analysis, rankings, projections and more for college cross country. After doing so much of the work archaically by hand, the idea of launching a website was to automate it all was formed.

The new Wood Report website not only provides a ranking and rating for nearly every college team and nearly every college runner in the country but an added feature of a race simulation as well.

Any runner, any team, can be put into the simulator to see, based on The Wood Report’s rating for each runner, where they would finish in said race.

This is an incredible tool for college coaches, runners, parents, fans, and friends of the sport.

The pricing is very easy: $1.9 /for a 24-hour use subscription (to test it out, or if you don’t want the commitment for a monthly or yearly, but still want to check it out), $7.99/monthly, or a very discounted rate of $39.99/year. The homepage rankings will remain free for people to view a la KenPom.com and its college basketball projections.

Honestly, if there wasn’t a significant amount of work put into the development of the site, its maintenance and the work to keep each team and athletes ratings current, there wouldn’t be a charge.

In order to keep the website sustainable, we charge, what we feel like, an affordable price.

This innovative way to view college cross country will change the way coaches prepare for meets, runners view their competition, and any and all’s perspective of the quality of teams/programs will be enhanced through this tool.

CITIUS MAG is a proud partner of The Wood Report and has published its rankings since 2017.
