How To Watch The New York City Marathon: Live Stream, TV Channel, Schedule, Results

The 2023 New York City Marathon kicks off on Sunday, November 5th on Staten Island for the 52nd edition of the race. On the women’s side, defending champion Sharon Lokedi will return to compete. She will be joined by former marathon world record holder Brigid Kosgei, Olympic gold medalist Peres Jepchirchir, and reigning Boston Marathon champion Hellen Obiri. On the men’s side, some of the names to watch for include defending champion Evans Chebet, Edward Cheserek, Futsum Zienasellaissie, and Cam Levins. Here’s how to follow along the action in New York:

Time: The first wave of the marathon starts at 8:40 a.m. ET and the final wave starts at 11:30 a.m. ET. Here’s the full schedule:

– Professional Women’s Open Division: 8:40 a.m.

– Professional Men’s Open Division: 9:05 a.m.

– Wave 1: 9:10 a.m.

– Wave 2: 9:45 a.m.

– Wave 3: 10:20 a.m.

– Wave 4: 10:55 a.m.

– Wave 5: 11:30 a.m.

Live Stream: Full marathon coverage will be streamed on the ESPN app from 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. ET. You can stream the pre-race coverage through the ESPN app and ESPN.com from 7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. ET and 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. ET.
