October 19, 2023

OAC: Oceania has announced the addition of Imogen Barrett, Zach Facioni, Jesse Hunt and Ed Trippas to its roster that will train in Melbourne under coach Craig Mottram.

Here’s what you need to know:

Imogen Barrett (Brisbane, Australia) just wrapped up her senior year at Florida, where she was a two-time SEC champion. In 2022, she was fourth in the 800m final at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. She owns a personal best of 2:00.96 for 800m.

Zach Facioni (Sydney, Australia) is coming off his fifth year at Wake Forest where he set a personal best of 13:27.71 for 5000m.

Jesse Hunt (Perth, Australia) finished up five years at North Carolina, where he was an ACC champion in the mile. He ran a personal best of 3:37.53 for 1500m in April and went on to finish sixth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships 1500m final.

Ed Trippas (Sydney, Australia) competed for Princeton and Washington in his NCAA career and specialized in the steeplechase. He owns a 3000m steeplechase personal best of 8:19.60. He was ninth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships steeplechase final.

Here’s what they said after signing (via On’s press release):

– Barrett: “I chose On because I love the community that the brand creates and connects, as well as the thought and authenticity that they put into both their products and their athletes.“

– Facioni: “On is building something that no other brand has done for a very long time. For too long brands have been content with how things have always been, unwilling to shake things up and I believe that’s caused the sport to become stale. On is looking to change that and I feel honored to be a part of it.”

– Hunt: “On is doing it right. The support for athletes to pursue their dreams is incredible and I am very excited to be a part of the brand. I am so excited to join OAC Oceania in pursuit of my best.”

– Trippas: “On is growing so fast and innovating to make the best products and athletes in the world which is awesome to be a part of. Having a company that is trying to push the sport forward makes me proud to wear the brand.”
