Wake up to Jeremy Wariner winning the 400m at 2013 USA Indoors

Let’s cut to the chase, there aren’t a whole lot of videos from past USA Indoor Championships on the ole’ YouTube and that’s what videos we’re using. None of that has anything to do with why this is the video of the men’s 400 meters from 2013. I just happened to be on LinkedIn and suggested connections came up. I saw 400 meter star Jeremy Wariner and that’s how we came to this post.

The three-time Olympic champion showed up on a mission in Albuquerque in 2013 and led this race wire-to-wire. Unfortunately for spectators, 400m hurdle ace Bershawn ‘Batman’ Jackson pulled up with a hamstring injury and would’ve been a great challenger for Wariner in this race.

At this weekend’s USATF Indoor Champs, there won’t be a 400 meter race. There will be a 300m & 600m race instead. Wariner isn’t listed in the entries, but he has raced this season. Most recently, he raced at a 200m in 21.82 on February 10th. Wariner is not finished at 33 years old.

Side note: If you’re a fan of the sandwich chain Jimmy Johns, Jeremy Wariner has been a franchise owner for almost two years.
