The 2017 Prefontaine Classic takes place this weekend at Hayward Field and it’s traditionally one of the best meets of the year.

As always the Bowerman Mile will be loaded with the likes of Asbel Kiprop and Olympic 1,500m champion Matthew Centrowitz. The women’s 200 meters will be “must-watch” with Elaine Thompson squaring off against Allyson Felix Shaunae Miller and Tori Bowie. The Hawyward Field crowd will also get one last look at Mo Farah in the 5,000 meters as he races the first Diamond League meet of his final track season. Jesse Squire will have a two-part meet preview later this week.
